Anna Lane, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, began entertaining
people at the tender age of six. As a spoiled only child, Anna found a captive audience in her numerous stuffed animals
and 50-plus Barbie dolls. Tormented for looking like an extra-ling toothpick in a world of short, over-fed private school
kids, Anna found solace on the stage. After many years of study with private coaches, and also at ACT and Northwestern
University, Anna was admitted to the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. A New Yorker at heart,
Anna loved NYU and NYC, and she survived numerous traumatic college experiences, including a freshman-year roommate who turned
tricks in their dorm room. After graduating with honors, Anna moved to Los Angeles where she booked a commercial that
never aired, lost a starring role in a movie to someone with "name recognition", and finally found happiness making
people laugh as a stand-up comic. Anna performs regularly throughout the Los Angeles area, and has been seen on TV as
well as in film. Anna recently co-wrote and starred in a spec pilot, which she produced through her newest venture,
Sugarplum Productions.
